The downtown area's beautiful tree-lined boulevards are
packed with restaurants, galleries, theaters and shops.

It is less than 10 miles from LAX, and short ride from Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Santa Monica and Hollywood. The city is a perfect mix of small town charm and convenient urban living.

Culver City has been an integral part of the motion picture and television production world since the 1920s. It was home to the first MGM Studios and still houses the headquarters for National Public Radio West and Sony Pictures Entertainment. The area underwent massive revitalization in the 1990s and now prides itself on being a thriving cultural hub, while still maintaining strong
ties to Hollywood.

RESTAURANTS

Restaurants

From fine dining to chicken wings and beer, Culver City has a range of gourmet options to suit even the most complicated tastebuds. The former Helms Bakery building has been transformed into a hub for delicious eateries including Father's Office, which touts the best burger in town, and chef Sang Yoon's popular Southeast Asian restaurant Lukshon. Celebrated cooks are constantly opening up new ventures along Culver City's main boulevards offering original, affordable and delicious food and drink options. London gastropub Waterloo & City on Washington Blvd. is a local favorite as are the cocktails a few doors down at A-Frame.

Culver City is home to a host of great boutiques, gift shops and retail stores. Alandales on Washington Blvd. offers tailored men's suits while the Timeless Treasures thrift store is a bargain-hunter's dream. The downtown area is the perfect place to spend a few hours browsing the aisles for clothes or presents. There are also numerous galleries selling fine art and jewellery, or showcasing the work of local artists, and a spa for when fatigue sets in.
